First ever customer-level implementation in Bangladesh
What is Agri voltaic?
Agrovoltaics is an innovative technology where solar power generation and crop cultivation can be done simultaneously on the same land.
Key Features:

- Previously, installing a solar plant required 2–30 decimals (or more) of land to be permanently unused.
- In an Agrovoltaics system, panels are installed on elevated structures, keeping the land below usable.
- Sunlight and airflow pass through beneath the panels, allowing crops to grow.
- Dual use of land → Power generation + Agriculture.
Crop Production Results
Slightly lower yield (20–25% less)
- Rice
- Wheat
- Mustard
Comparatively higher yield:
- Turmeric
- Ginger
- Lettuce
- Other shade-loving crops
Rural Sun Power has conducted experimental research at its Agro Farm and collected data, which has now been successfully implemented at Nakla, Sherpur.
